My wonderful husband graduated from Community College of the Air Force with a degree in Intelligence and Technology Studies this month. Jay is an enlisted member of the United Stated Air Force, and I am so proud of him for all the hard work, passion, and dedication he gives every day to help ensure that we can all sleep safely in our beds each night. With Memorial Day just passing us, I have really been thinking a lot about what it means to live in a country where we have freedoms that are unheard of in most of the world.
Americans often complain about our nation, but to put things in perspective the United States is still a nation that gives people the most freedoms and rights. Sure there are negative aspects that come from living in a democratic republic, but day-to-day life in the US is still lightyears better than most of the world. We have so much to be thankful for, and I thank God for putting so many good men and women in place to ensure that we, as a nation, continue to protect and stand for what is right and good in the world. I pray that we stay on track and continue to stand for good as the years pass us by. I hope that we can continue to look back, even 50 years from now, and be proud of the difference we have made in the world.
As the month of May finishes out, lets not forget how blessed we are, and say a prayer for the men and women who sacrifice so much for our blessed way of life. God Bless America!
